Western Settings in Siskiyou County.

The traditional charm of the West comes alive in the landscapes and small towns of Siskiyou County. These locations are unique: unchartered terrain, exceptional natural beauty, enthusiastic support services, and honest to goodness home-town America!

Scott Valley
Just 20 miles from the I5 freeway, Scott Valley is surrounded by mountains, including the rugged Marble Mountains.

The town of Etna, in the center of Scott Valley, retains it's historical flavor with original buildings from northern California's gold rush era.

Other valley communities, from Fort Jones to Mugginsville to Callahan, offer settings perfect for historical and small town themes.

Yreka
Miner Street in Yreka reflects its gold rush heritage.

The Shasta Valley
This remarkable landscape includes lush river valley, pasture and range lands, high desert buttes and rock formations, wetlands and small lakes, lava formations and abundant small hills of volcanic origin...all dominated by the massive peak of Mount Shasta on the south.

Montague is a traditional cowboy town in the Shasta Valley north of Mount Shasta.

Enhancing Montague's distinctive Western flavor is the Yreka Western Railroad, a private line running from Yreka to Montague.

Weed
At the foot of Mount Shasta, Weed offers many historic buildings as well as lumber, railroad and mountain locations.

McCloud
Main Street in McCloud faces the southern side of Mount Shasta. This traditional "mill town" is a setting unique in California, with historic buildings and incredible landscapes.
