Castle Lake in Siskiyou County.
Castle Lake is located less than 10 miles from Interstate 5 and the city of Mt. Shasta in south county. The road to the lake is paved, with ample parking next to the lakeshore. Accessible by paved road, just 7 miles from the city of Mt. Shasta and Interstate 5, Castle Lake is a favorite for paddlers, fishermen, families enjoying swimming and picnic outings, hikers, photographers and artists.
