| Siskiyou County, one of the largest and most sparsely populated counties in California can offer any number of remote, pristine looks for films and commercials.  With changing seasonal needs, different areas offer the best pristine look.  The Sand Flat area at the 7200 ft. level on Mount Shasta is a red fir forest of great beauty, offering large trees with an uncluttered forest floor interspersed with other species of firs, stunted and knarled by harsh winter conditions. Other sites are available with a similar look for winter shoots in snow fields. 
Tree plantations off Ski Park Road are completely buried in snow during the winter, offering a vast tundra type look, with mountain vistas in three directions, and the top of Mount Shasta rising to the north. There are many sites with a similar look available on four sides of Mount Shasta.
